Acupuncture History

Dating back over 3000 years, acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of very fine sterile  needles in the over 400 acupuncture points.

Needles affect the movement of our’ vital energy, also known as “Qi”. This qi regulates the body’s function and stimulates certain energetic meridians along the body. Qi can be regulated, dispersed and gathered at these points to help aid the healing process. When qi does not move or is insufficient; pain or disease can arise.

The effects of acupuncture are multi-faceted and profound.
